2008 the Christopher Ræburn label was launched.

  • Inspired by the challenge of creating ethically-aware men’s and womenswear.
  • Known for his utilisation of re-appropriated military fabrics to create garments that are functional, intelligent and meticulously crafted.
  • Ræburn’s collections are highlighted for their intelligent design, high quality and extreme attention to detail.
  • A graduate from London’s Royal College of Art in 2006, has since gained experience at fashion houses in London.
  • Founded a studio and began his pioneering work on the future of ethical design.
  •  He kicked off 2008 with his first collection showcase during Design Week, a capsule range of reversible garments entitled ‘Inverted’
  • Staunchly British, all Raeburn garments are proudly ‘Remade in England’ and produced in East London.
  • He is the first designer to be awarded both NEWGEN mens and womenswear sponsorship in the same season.
  •  Created incredible and original installations at every London Fashion Week.
  • The visually stunning 2011 ‘Dazzle’ presentation included the original parachute inspirations, and the innovative Autumn/Winter 2011 ‘Blast’ presentation took place at the disused Aldwych tube station in central London.
  • British menswear is distinguished by its breadth – not reliant on just one look.
  • From heritage and craft to experimental design work, there is a fusing of so many cultures.

An independent clothing company founded in 2006 to produce Modern Crafted Clothing.

  • Provides an antidote for stale and uninspired menswear, the holy grail of form and function over fast-fashion and fad.
  • The collection is a mix of time-honoured and contemporary classics –  design-led, with a commitment to quality.
  • As a British fashion start-up, it is keeping costs down without turning to factories in China for help.
  • Founded by entrepreneurial fashion outsiders James Shaw and Alastair Rae, the duo’s first shop is a breezy, airy space that shows their collection of menswear and accessories.

Recently won ‘Best for Men’s Fashion’ at The Telegraph’s Best Small Shops in Britain awards.
